While we support 99% of smartphones, there are a few devices we've learned can be problematic with issues like: Connectivity, Data Speeds and Hardware issues.

iPhone 5

  • Slow Interface
  • Cellular data will not connect or takes a while to connect
  • Visual voicemail gives consistent error

Solutions: If you wish to keep your iPhone but still rather have a budget friendly iPhone we would recommend upgrading to a iPhone 5s for better performance. With iOS 13 now in effect, older iPhones are starting to slow and face various interface and technical issue.

iPhone 5c

  • Slow Interface
  • Will not update
  • Cellular data will not connect or takes a while to connect
  • Visual voicemail gives consistent error
  • Low quality calls

Solutions: If you wish to keep your iPhone but still rather have a budget friendly iPhone we would recommend upgrading to a iPhone 5s for better performance.

Apple not longer supports the iPhone 5c with technical or software updates and a upgrade to a minimum of 5s is the best solution. Because of the lack of software updates, the device is extremely outdated.

Sony Xperia XA or XA Plus

  • Will not connect
  • Require constant updates to device (daily)
  • Having to do the same update over and over
  • SIM card error

Solutions: The Sony XA is one of Sony's oldest model devices. These issues are common with Used or Refurbished Sony XAs. Our best recommendation would be to get this device Brand New to resolve Sim tray issues.

The constant updating is common with the XA as it is a older/first model. It is also limited on the space & updates may not go through properly on the device.

The lack of a up-to-date software can cause software issues, connection issue and services issue with your Tesix sim.

International/Generic smartphones

Generic smartphones are extremely hard to activate on Tesix network or to provide proper service. Generic devices are usually none-branded devices from oversea manufactures.

Some of these devices are found to be faulty and does not properly take Tesix's SIM cards.

These devices may also have unregistered IMEIs and may be rejected by our activation system.

2G mobile devices

2G Smartphnoes are the 1% of devices Tesix does not support. Tesix sims support only 3G/4G/5G smartphones.

2G devices are usually older model flip phones. Many manufacturers aren't manufacturing 2G Band devices as they aren't compatible with 99% of phone service providers.

This article will be updated as often as device issues arise.
